Looking for information on the FarmCountry 1997 Dodge Ram Pickup

What colors and attachments - what to look for, are they older miniatures?

How do they compare beside the M2 pickup?

Thanks again

This was the first Dodge truck Ertl did(they have done 3 different ones). Ertl only has put this out as a single truck or with a trailer. I have it in blue/silver, black/silver, red, and white(JD Dealer). It is a very nice truck and is in line with the size of M2 trucks. Ertl did make a set of pieces to go in the beds of trucks that do work nicely they included fuel tank, toolbox/bedliner, stock rack, and vet tool box.

Thank you for the information.
Did ERTL put a hole in the bed of the trucks for a fifth wheel trailer?
I have seen a number of these and my favorite is the Blue version with the fifth wheel trailer. If I find one I can afford I would like to add this one to my collection.

Thanks again for your help.

ERTL Pickup Trucks

Did ERTL make the Dodge Trucks the same time as the Ford Dually and the Chevrolet/GMC Dually trucks?

Are they all about the same detailing and size.

What Colors did ERTL make for the Ford Dually and the Chevrolet/GMC Dually trucks?

Thanks for all your help.

The more recent stuff has clear windows and detailed interiors (2 new dodge models and a newer model ford). All have been done in a bunch of colors as well.

As for the old Ford Dually, they did that as a pickup, service truck, & flatbed (Same cab & Chassis, interchangeable beds) They have been done in dozens of colors and schemes. The GMC Dually I've seen in Red, Grey & Green.

Ertl has done at least 6 different Chevy/GMC Trucks. They did a An older Chevy stepside, and a newer one for a TV Show. They also have done a S-10 Pickup. The dually has a couple of variations to watch for. Yes they are in lots of colors but some have a Chevy grill and some have a GMC Grill. There is a 1950 Chevy pickup and the same cab is used on a grain truck and a flatbed. Also did some outdoor series trucks sold with boats(I do not have any of these).

Ertl has done at least 4 Ford pickups. There is a Bronco with open back. They did a late 80's F-250(with & without gooseneck trailer hole), a 90's F-150 extended cab 4x4. The current dually also is a F-350 and like mentioned comes as a pickup, flatbed, stakebed or service body. All in multiple colors.

If any one needs more pictures of examples let me know I have a lot of these trucks in my collection and can show you.

The Dodges only come in red and blue for the middle one and the one on the right only comes in red as a truck/tractor set. The Ford Extended cab does come in yellow but is packaged with a grain trailer.

Those are from Ertl's Collect and Play Series. I do not have any of that truck in my collection they are less then 1/64th scale. Ertl has in several farm supply stores and hobby shops set up display racks to sell loose individual vehicles. They are shipped to the store I believe 10 to a box then the store opens the box and puts the vehicle on the rack in a corresponding slot. These are made of all plastic with minor detail. They have a whole line of trucks, cars, tractors, and implements in this line. Some are metal and some are plastic. Some are 1/64th scale, some less, and some more. I have a few of the pieces that are closer to 1/64th scale.

Ertl~Collect-N-Play Series

I do appreciate all this information.
This is all new to me as you can probably tell by my questions.
For some of my displays this truck would work if it is close in size to the Ford Dually and the rear hitch is the same.

I would like to modify one, maybe, into an oversize load escort truck-this is why I liked the bright yellow.

I would like to hear more about the Ertl~Collect-N-Play Series miniatures that are close to 1/64.

Very Much Appreciate all your help.

After listening to all your information and my usual research, I can see that I want to stay with the regular ERTL Dodge trucks and the Ford.

I have now added a Red Dodge, a Black Dodge and the Yellow Ford to my collection. Now I need to locate car trailers for my NASCAR, M2 and FOOSE miniatures.
I do have an ERTL green and white Ford with Livestock Trailer, NEW Condition, plus extra pickup I would love to trade for a NEW Dodge 2500 Pickup.

Well, mostly wanted to thank all of Hobby Talk as you provide so much information.

Thanks Very Much.

NEW ERTL Dodge with trailer and haybales

I love it and now I need to know where I can find one.

Not much can be found in my area when it comes to ERTL trucks.

I shop online and have trouble when people want to sell these for $40.00 or more.
I recently located an older ERTL Blue 97 Dodge Pickup with fifth wheel flatbed trailer - would you believe over $36.00. Sorry, I collect on a pension.
Am I out of line or is this too much?

Sorry, for complaining.
I do appreciate all the help.

There are several online dealers that carry a lot of Ertl stuff. A couple to look at are farmtoysforfun.com (Van Kley's) and actionfarmtoys.com (Action Farm toys). If any thing they can be a good reference on what is coming up or what is out there. Some of the real tractor dealers also sell some of the toys in their shops.

I love the RC Ford!!!!! If you ever want to get rid of it....

Is that Gmc like that or is it a repainted Fall Guy truck.

The older Ertl GMC is not a repainted "Fall Guy" truck that is the way it came. It was out in a single pack I believe it was on a "Fun Truckin'" card. The Ford Bronc is that same way it was in a single pack but also put out as a TV car for "Simon & Simon".
The RC Ford is the the only one like it I have so I need to hang on to it for a while. Diecastman, If I ever come across another I will let you know.
