Great build-up and paint job! Very realistic for something that never existed.

My only question about its flyability is what to do to compensate for the torque of the VTOL blades.

Perhaps that's the purpose of the vents on the side of the fuselage in the engine area. Still, a very scary concept.

Nice model!

The design is not really a helicoptor. It's a Gyro-coptor. It would provide very short take off and landing but will still need a roll.

Also would not have a tork issue.

Just thought I'd share my latest fait accompli : The conceptual F-104 VTOL supersonic helicopter, a conversion kit from Unicraft Models. Can you believe someone actually proposed this? Could something like this even really FLY?

It could fly, probably not very well. How well it could fly was worked out in fine detail in theory long before they gave a yes or no to actually build one. You'd be surprised at what actually will fly and what does fly but shouldn't (in theory) be able to do so.
