Have you ever had that one car you can't seem to find or get? I have that one unicorn, yes I've seen it on Ebay, but I have my $$ limits for cars I want, and this one is $10 or under shipped. I have the WL version of it and a WL Pre-production from the Playing Mantis days, but do you think I can get the regular version? Nope. There is one on Ebay now, time will tell.

What's your Unicorn?

These don't show up to often, but when they do, I can't seem to get enough cash together. My Olds collection just won't be complete without it, but someday I will have it.

Here it is.

THANKS Wyatt for the pic
Funny this is one of those for me. Finding one is one thing affording it is another.

Here is another

Another to add to the list

Oh did you only mean one Gerald? Sorry....

My "Holy Grail" is a mint Brooklin Models (BRK24) green 1968 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 with COA. I've been looking for this car for over 20 years!!! I've been outbid on this car two times on ePay (it's hard to believe what this car sold for in 2 different auctions), and I saw one that wasn't anywhere near mint for an outrageous price. I now realize that I've lived without one for over 20 years, so I can survive without it.

I have 3 blue versions of the 1968 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500, but the green version eludes me.

Here's a couple of pics of the blue version. BTW...there wheels are metal.

Hi All,

For me it is this White Lightning .....

Gold Series – round 8 – 1968 Shelby GT500 Fastback – white w/white interior

Normal Version .... (Thanks to JL Collector)

I don't even have a picture of the WL. There have only been a handful on ePay since it came out. I keep hoping that it will turn up sometime soon.

Wal-Mart Exclusive Mopar or No Car Hemi

And this Superbird.

Muscle Cars 10 Car BoxSet (2005)
But I have slowed up on diecast purchases, so I havent looked lately either.

When I set out to collect all of the regular JL '69 Darts, I thought the Gold Series (the black one) was going to be the toughest one to score. Although it was not easy one to land, I eventually got one. The one that was kicking my grass was this bugger:

It took me forever to capture one. Funny thing is, I ended up with 3 of them!!

But the toughest Holy Grail for me to hunt down was the Green Machine version of this Coronet that I finally scored just a few weeks ago:

My wallet took a hit but I have some "reserve stock" to sell that will more than make up the difference.

I have a loose one and maybe even the insert picture card that came with it (if you want it I will check). Email me your addy and it is yours, my friend. I think it is also a Katrina survivor, floating around a shipyard on a desk inside a trailer. Luckily (if it was one that was on my desk, can't remember if I had replaced it by then) it did not fall of the desk into the water. I'll send it out when I get a chance but it is yours now.

Thanks for the pic Wyatt.

This is my grail, the WL version of THIS car! White wheels and white tires. This would be the completion of my '69 Impala collection and all would be right with the world once again, and I would be able to sleep better at night knowing that it is right in there with the rest of them (not counting the drop top test shot verison zinger that was not produced!) for all to see! Have been chasing this one since the beginning of this casting and have yet been able to acquire it! But it is the thrill of the chase after all and maybe one of these days...!
Cant wait to get started on the rest of the '65's!

Hey Montegogt, I think I can help with the black Daytona.
I'm still missing a few spots on the "easy" ones. Commemroratives 1. Easy to find on the bay, but need certain series numbers. I'll finish this yet. Still need series "K". Other then that Olds I really have no more holy grails. I havent givin up, I think I'm just satisfied. Got to keep up to date on the BWF thing though!
