Hey, im fairly new to rc an i just bought my first FT SC10 . I have a 9.5t vector motor installed ,i origanally had the novax gtb2 esc but i had problems. The truck wouldnt move unless i gave it a push, so now im thinking of getting an LRP ESC. Dose anyone have any sugestions, or good/bad exp with the Lrp esc? Let me no :wave:

Go Tekin, Hobbywing or Castle. More program-ability and flexebility. They all run brushed, brushless, sensored or not.

Sounds like it is cogging. Have you gone through the check up steps with the ESC? Do you have lights on on the ESC, if so which ones? The lights may give you the reason there is an issue. Have you checked to be certain the sensor wire is plugged in correctly, and none of the wires is loose or nicked? All these issues plus a radio and receiver issue can cause cogging.

Viper rc solutions has the best esc going and a full year warranty and you can adjust everything without a computer.

i went with a skyRc cheetah system myself, 58 to 75 on ebay all day long, the esc is great and if you dont like the motor you can use a different one, you arent bound to use the cheetah motors or the skyrc ares pro motors. the esc is ni-mh and 2s/3s lipo compatible, and sensored or sensorless compatible.


personally i would avoid lrp/reedy and traxxas brushless systems i have had nothing but problems from those brand name brushless systems
