This is a great kit from the glory days of Polar Lights. I used a razor saw to modify the arms into the retracted position. The bubble support cone was also cut away from its base and replaced with a more accurate scratch-built part. The base was detailed with some model railroad scenery. The kit was so well designed that painting it wasn’t too difficult. However, figure modeling is not my strong point. Unfortunately, I lack the fine motor skills and the artistic knack to really pull it off.

Beautiful! Love the base work, too!!

Thank you. The base was spray painted with Tamiya "Light Sand". The rocks were dry brushed with various shades of gray. This was followed by several washes of rust and brown acrylic paints. The bushes were attached with some white glue.
