I bought this display case from an art gallery that was going out of business

but I always hated how much space was being wasted. I finally figured out a way to fix that:

I took the smallest PVC pipe I could find, cut a groove in it wide enough that it would slip over the wire framing already in place, did the same with the PVC Tees, used some 45 degree fittings to make the arms for the glass to sit on - the glass is the standard size 11x14 picture frame glass you can buy almost anywhere, and then put it all together. There are now well over 200 cars sitting in there.

OK, Ricky, do we get to see pictures of yours? Inquiring minds want to see. :)

And Carlos, you'll have to post pictures when you're done.

I always like looking at how people solved their collection problems.

That is a great case, and an even better solution to lack of space. My grandparents had an old lawyer's bookcase that would be perfect for displaying die-cast; in fact, my grandfather displayed his Revell Highway Pioneers and Aurora car kits in it. It's now in my parents' house, and not leaving there anytime soon.

I just realized, Carlos, that is exactly where the owner of the gallery said this display case came from - IKEAs!
