Differeent Magnets on original tjet chassis?

I have a few sets of original nos tjet chassis and as far as I can tell they are standard tjet chassis. All open rivet, all made in Hong Kong labels with black letters, all skinny tires. The only difference I see is some have both gray colored magnets and the others have the white and green colored.

Any idea why the different mags?

Different batches and/or suppliers. The magnets in those chassis are nothing to get excited about, for sure, but they tend to be better than the ones from the solid rivet cars.

You have to remember, Aurora was pumping T jets out like mad in the 60's. The numbers I'm sure are staggering compared to what's being produced now a days..
