Founded by David Gilbert in the UK, DG made a 1:160 (N) scale size tractor motor to be used as a model train layout piece. They also made a series of 1930s Ambulances in 1:76 (HO) scale.

An unspecified relationship to Autocraft (UK) is made, but no details are given.

In 1986, it is believed that some of the 39 molds used by Budgie were purchased by David Gilbert. More specifically, the VW Bug and Micro Bus castings.

Another company called DG Productions is known, but not certain if an affiliation with David Gilbert (or Autocraft) and his original company is known. They made 1:50 (1:64) scale commercial and work trucks in China.
