anyone know anything about these pullback cars made by darda? i picked up the mach 5. they say its 1/64th scale but it looks a little bigger kinda "cartoony" looking.i've never seen them before but its kinda cool.this mach 5 is plastic but they also have metal body cars.just wondering if these are something new or have been around awhile.

They've been out awhile, probably since the late 80's/early 90's(?), but I think they used to be made in Germany. I have some, along with track, that were from Germany. But now I thought I saw they were made by Lifelike? I think they're really cool, but you need some track...

Darda cars have been around for a long time. The company is from Germany but the cars are probably not made there any more. The bodies are usually plastic but the pull-back mechanism is considered to be high quality. They are designed to be used on a track, but like all pull-back cars, you can have fun with them even if you don't have a track set.

I collect the Darda rally cars and the Darda TV/Movie cars.
