hey peeps im new around these parts both to the website and the forum community ive decided to give it a shot.

I just purchased my first go-cart and im wanting to put some cool things on it.

it's a yerf dog, it's got a Tecumseh 6.5 hp ohh65 71711c engine on it with pull start. it has a kill switch on it and im wanting to put headlights on it. I want to know if I can rig a wire on it somehow to access the alternator on it and create power from the engine to a switch for the headlights. is it possible?

It is possible if the engine is equipped with an alternator. Most engines unless electric start do not come equipped with an alternator.

In most cases yes you can install an alternator on the engine.
