I started working on my MPC Barnabas Collins reissue a few days ago, and when examining the parts noticed the black plastic hands had odd bumps on the palms and a sunken spot on the palm of the left hand, while the GITD hands don't have those issues. Does anyone else's kit have the bumpies and sinky? 'Tisn't a big issue (although I DID use the glow left hand for another project ), I can take care of them with a bit of scraping...I just wondered if mine was singular in its issues.

All four hands have round mold knock out marks that need to be filled or sanded down a bit. I don't recall any other irregularities. You might find a sink mark on some castings and not others depending on how the parts were pulled from the mold, etc.

They didn't look like ejector pin marks to me. But whatever they are, they're raised and easily sliced off with a #10 curved hobby knife. Don't try to slice the whole bump off, because you can go too far and get deep cuts that will have to be filled. It'll be less work to sand the remainders from the knife work down to the surface with fine grit sandpaper.

A lot of those little blips are a blessing in disguise. I remember when I picked up the Exorcist spider-walk resin kit. This included 2 figures of Regan, one standing and one doing the spider-shuffle.

The standing figure had several air bubble holes under the chin covering the area under the jaw. At first I was going to fill them with putty but what I decided to do was work dark red paint into the holes then dry-brushed over with skin-tones.
The result was a very nasty looking skin rash that really went well with the effect of the model
