Located in Germany, Conrad was founded in 1956, as a supplier for toy manufacturers Gescha and Strenco.

They began making models in 1971 under their own name, producing 1:50 scale models of commercial vehicles.

In the early 1980s, they introduced a line of 1:43 scale diecast models of contemporary Volkswagen and Audi vehicles.

They had also made a range of small tanks and (3) different Mercedes Benz models only found at Mercedes Benz dealer ships in the 1980s.

Later in the 1990s, they unveiled a line of 1:66 scale models.

A fine scale line of Fire vehicles and commercial and construction vehicles are also available.
