What setting do i set my tester on to see if there is any output. I just bought a new battery and want to make sure if the charging system is working properly,, thanks

Your voltage tester should be set at 12 volts DC or closest to it For example, mine would be set at 20 volts DC which means it can only test anything up to 20 volts.

ya i found out mine only went to 9volts and its a needle style not digital and the needle went as far as it would go on the green side so its working for sure,, thanks
