Jake Jackson College is a one day race on Sunday. They have an open practice on Sat.
Doors open at 7:00am on Sunday and the doors open at 5:00pm on Sat. unless you want to help setup the track then you can get in around 2:00pm. Wood Racing may be there this weekend. If you have directions then turn left into College parking lot then left at the first drive then right into a huge parking lot and the field house will be at the end of the lot. Its expressway almost all the way.
Hey Joel Are you going to Jackson College? I will be there Sat. night and Sun. Later Guys

Hey Joel Got the 15. There were 14 heats at Jackson College and everyone was on the road by 4:30pm. Attendance is down some but all the classes were able to run.
I ran Busch and six cell stock finishing second in both. They give out hand towels to the first (blue) second (red) and third (white) which I think is a nice touch and different. These aren't towels you would want to use as tire towels.
A few of us are talking about going to Traverse City on the first of Dec. We will be at Mt.Pleasant this Sat.

Mel, I thought the towel idea was pretty cool too.
Going to a race like Jackson really shows me how small of a "race track" I am from. Scales, tech, more than $10 entry fee.....all that was new to me! Oh well, I enjoyed it. Hopefully I'll get the TC3 that I want for christmas, from Santa of course, and will be able to race touring car down there. Don't get me wrong, pan car is fun, but it is more fun when your competitive, and at this point, I need practice before I could even think of running with all you guys!

Joel, What are you doing this weekend? You should come on down to Mount Pleasant for the race on Saturday. Usually 8-10 heats, and people are packed up gone about 5-530. You could be home way before 10! You should come down, and bring the rest of them Yoopers with ya!

Well guys I got some bad news.

Wednsday night I was in my appartment, cutting a frozen bagel (I don't want to hear it!) I had it on the counter, well the knife slipped and I cut the palm of my hand. Not real deep, but bad enough to do some damage none-the-less. Doctors think I may have cut a tendon or a muscle, which has caused me to lose some strength in my pinkie finger (left hand. thank god I am right handed!) and almost all of my lateral strength in that finger, the ability to pull my pinkie back in next to the rest of my fingers. Not good.
I have already re-gained a slight amount of the strength back, which is good. I have an appointment monday to see another doctor about it, they said that most of the strength should come back as it heals. Only time will tell though. If he thinks I need it, I may need some surgery to get the tendons/muscle fixed. I'm trying to keep in good spirits about it, it is in a splint to keep me from doing anything with it. Two BIG nasty looking stitches and an hour later I went home.

George, I will be in your neck of the woods tonight till sunday, sorry I wont be racing. I really did want to show you what an old Woods car could do!

Mel, good luck to you and your crew in MP saturday, I really wish I could be there, looks like I will be done racing for about 4 weeks, six plus if I need surgery.

It's fairly nasty looking, but if you shoot me an e-mail, I'll send ya pic of it.

Dang Jake Good thing you are in College. Maybe you will make a little more money and move up to softer bagel's or maybe even get a wife who will do those kind of things for you cause I see that you are not very good at it. Oh well S^%& happens we learn from it and move on. Hope it heals well and maybe see you at Jackson College next month.

Just so you a know, I'm still alive, and back to using two hands.
No surgery, Doctor almost laughed at me, he said the ER doctor made it out to be nuch worse then it really was, and sent me to this specialist to cover his own @$$. Do you know what the #1 cause of hand lacerations (read: cuts) in America is? CUTTING BAGELS!!! So enough jokes George! LoL I already know that I am getting about 3 bagel cutters for Christmas. Should be racing in two weeks, that makes me happy. I don't have full use of pinky yet. Still have very little strength, and almost no side-to-side yet, but the specialist said that all of that will come back as it heals.

And Mel, what is the date of the race in Jackson again? I have a TC3 coming and would like to try touring car. It's an early X-Mas present (from santa!) that I have to give back to him the 23rd (day after MP race) so he can wrap and get it under the tree.

Thanks for all your support and e-mails guys!

Hey Jake.I'm still here.My puter has been down for some time and i just got it back up.They do sell fresh bagels in the store you know(LOL).I suppose you were using your hobby knife to cut it too(LOL).We finally got our track layed down and we plan on starting racing next week.We dont have 198 feet like we did before. We now have a bullring like MT Pleasant. We are quite happy with it and now when we come down there we will be setup for a smaller track instead of a big one.I will post the dates for the trophy races when we get tham scheduled. As for club races,we race on thursday nites at 7.00 pm.This works out for 5 of our members who work out of town and have to travel.Trying to get to Traverse in december if it is at all possible and to MT Pleasant hopefully in january.Just bought a newer car sp i can travel more if money permits.Well, gotta run so you take care and i hope to see you all soon.OH,and get some UNFROZEN bagels.(LOL)

Just in case you forgot, DODGE RULES! (IMHO)

Even though I'm still gimp, doesn't mean I can't paint. I'm happy with it, not perfect but my best one to date.

This is a Pro-Line GMC Sierra Body that Tim Weber painted for me, if you need a nice body, get in contact with him!

I have one week left of regular class and then a week of exams, and then done till Mid-January! Yeah! :p I plan on hitting Jackson (and Mount Pleasant) and you just never know where else I might show up!

You know Mel, now that I can use a real body, a DODGE, instead of the Taurus body that I was using maybe I will be able to beat you. Yeah right but a guy can dream can't he?

Doesn't look like the X-13 you sold me does it George?

Well thats it, I had a pic of the whole collection of my cars/trucks on my bed, there wasn't any room left for me to sleep on it (its a queen!) so I had to move them, and now I can't find the picture! If/when I do I'll toss a link up so you can see the whole collection. I'd need to update it anyway, I just built my Team TC3 this weekend.

I found it, keep in mind that this is missing my Legend, my TC3 AND my old school RC-10 Graphite and my Original RC-10T which I don't drive anymore.
1/2 of the collection
