Cool Hock, glad to here we will have a good crowd.
Looks like we will be buying trophies for both 6-cell and 4-cell.
We will see how everything pans out these first couple of weeks up here, we do not have the racers to support both 4 and 6, that will be one of the topics of discussion at our first race.

See you guys in december, Joel

Hey Mel, Glad to here you guys are coming up in Dec.
Looks like 4-cell will be the class to run, we are going to try to make the switch once more.

Have you been to Traverse city and raced lately. Just wondering if they are still doing the 4-cell thing or if they are back to 6.

I ran the new Adx car for the first time last weekend, I like it alot, It drove alot like my woods car used to drive, I had alot more speed through the corners than I did with the associated I was running last year, Of course it is kinda hard to tell what the car was doing compared to last year since I was only running 4-cell.Casey was alot faster than I was but my key to winning was no crashes, he had an unfortunate meeting with Jake on the front straight that cost him almost a full lap, he tried to run me down and got to within about a half lap but time ran out for him,
The racing between he and I was close,m we ran side by side for almost 2 complete laps, He really wanted to pass me on the inside but I knew if he did he was going to be gone so I held the inside as best as I could and it worked out, there is no way I could have held the inside like I did with the l3o like I did with the new ADX, It practically drives itself.

Good luck to all in Mt. Pleasant and Jackson tommorrow, If I didn't have to work I would have made the Mars Banquet then probably headed to Jackson.

Hey Hock , Glad to hear a bunch of people are coming up for the race.
Looks like 4-cell will be the class to be in.
We are switching to 4-cell up here, we will offer 6-cell providing enough show up.
Hope fully everyone will just run 4-cell.
I guess the guys at T.C. are going back to 6-cell because 2 of the 15-20 racers complained they wouldn't race anymore if they stayed with 4-cell.

I was really up in arms about what to do, we are sticking with 4-cell for this year and we will see what happens.
Personally I think 4-cell is a good idea, way less tire wear and batteries are cheaper.

The cheaper I can make the class to get into the more people maybe I can get into it.

Well see what happens, Later, Joel

Chuck, we don't have any 19t classes in the soo anymore.
The only class we ever had was for touring cars, we are now running them stock, so no 19 turn classes here.

We may have a mod. truck class at the oval race , not sure yet, will talk to the club about it this weekend at our first points, race.

On a side note, went to Traverse city this weekend and ran 4-cell there,
got my but handed to me by calvin....again.
Car was fast but he was gettin through the corners better than I was.

He only lapped me once in the main so I was getting better as the day went on.

Hey Jake, you would have loved the dome race up in marquette, 1/8 of a mile indoor running track, talk about fast and hard to score by hand on a computer, we had to have 2 people calling numbers for the pancars, i was basically in the middle of the track trying to see the numbers and had to literally jump over cars that were out of the "groove" so they wouldn't hit me.
It was tottaly awesome, casey and I ran touring cars for the first time on that track, I geared the car he let me run to the moon in the first heat cuz I had no clue where to start, I dumped a brand new 3000 pack in 2 minutes and 19 seconds. I didn't get past for the lead till after the 3 minute mark thats how fast my car was the first heat.
Then Perry(aka.oval god) and I had a great battle in the main after I geared down to make runtime, we were side by side for like 2 1/2 minutes, rubbin through the corners and everything, then I broke a ballcup and went head on fullspeed into a volley ball net stantion, it wasn't pretty lots of parts went flyin', however I did finish the race and either finished second or third.

oh....don't get your hopes up about a bigger track, we could make it bigger but we wouldn't have any pit space left.

Call fred, the one who is doing the jcc races and tell him to build the monster oval again, i believ the running line was somwhere around 400 ft.
It was really cool, ask casey, he will remember.

later, see you all tommorrow, Joel:wave:

Had a great time racing at traverse city yesterday.
Made the "A" with the ADX car, Finally got it working now I'm switching to the Terminator.

There were 12 pancars there we ran 3 heats of 4
tq (jamie hanson) got 61 in qualifying then there were 5 or 6 of us at 59 laps, i squeked into the "A" by 1 second.

In the main I fished 4th right where I started.
Di 59 laps again and Jamie won it in his last ride in a woods car with 62 laps.

In the main there was Jamie, driving a woods car, John Sparks , Driving a wwods car, Calvin Vernes, Driving an associated, and me driving the new ADX car. Next time we race together all but calvin will be driving a terminator pro.

Along with Sparks' traveling partner Mark Ceiciek(sp) all together there will be 4 new Terminators running next weekend.

See some of you this weekend and the rest on the 7th

Hey Scott, You gonna make the trip over this weekend?

See Ya, Joel

Hey Jamie, The way this center shocks mounts your woods shoulf fit right on, I have to do a couple modifications to get my associated one on there.
Wish he would have sent instructions on where some of the standoffs and stuff were supposed to go. Oh well, I finally figure it out now all I have to do is get it workin as well as my adx was last sat.

If I had smoke what did you have? You were like WWWAAAAYYYYYYY faster than everyone else.

Jake did casey e-mail you those ppics yet?

the track is sort of "D" shaped, it takes some getting used to but once you get the hang of it it is fast as heck.
I turned the only sub 6 second laps of the day, Mostly it was 6.1's and 6.2's in the main, I'm sure when the 3 wise men get here and you guys from wisconsin the lap times will fall to the mid 5 second range.

hopefully Jake will have some pics of the track posted soon, or whenever casey e-mails them to him.
Later guys, Joel

4-cell stock is what we are running, mel and some others have expressed an interest in running 19t also, if there are enough to do so we will, but that class will most likely run for ribbons as I haven't ordered trophies for that class. There needs to be at least 5 to run for trophies and you wouldn't get the trophy for a copuple weeks and I would have to mail them.

As for directions , do you have microsoft works or microsoft word.

I believe my map is in word.
e-mail me at [email protected] and let me know and I'll get you the directions asap.

Also, are you coming by yourself or are you bringing John along?

We have alot of tables available, you might want to bring an extension cord, we have alot of chairs also.
