Hey that would be me. I am looking to run a ten double in the truck this year. Last year I had a 19 turn Chameleon and it was pretty quick. Looking forward to racing at Mt. Pleasant again this year.
Hi Joel As far as four cell gearing at your track I am looking at starting out with a roll out around 2.30. That is with the tires figured in. Got the T3 ready for some mod. I will be running a ten turn in that. That should keep me up there with Scott and them other Western Yoopers. See ya !

Jake Take the first exit for the Soo stop at a gas station and ask where Kewadins Casino is and Big Bear Arena is right across the street. Thats the best I can do cause I don't remember the streets. Might try MapQuest I'm sure that will work also.

Hey Guys We made it home a little after 11:00 P.M. It was a wet and windy trip all the way.
Thanks Joel for giving us a great place to race. The track was 100% better without the inside pipes. Can't say for sure when we will make it back, but keep us posted.
To Scott and our other eastern Yooper fellow racers, thanks for the compliments. Wish there would have been more time to help you guys out. You guys are what racing is all about. Having fun even though you're not the fastest. Keep working on them cars and you will get there. It is true what is said (race with the fast guys and you will get faster).

Hey Guys Casey hope things are looking up for your family. Not alot to do at the Petosky Hospital. I spent a few days there with my brother inlaw back in July. We were comming back from your neck of the woods and he had a heart attack and that is where he ended up. They do have a computer that you can use and get on the internet with. You can set up a hotmail account that allows you to e-mail. I think the computer is on the 1st floor but I do know it is in a lounge.
Hey jake I would go with the 115-25. Even with the MVP. Most of us at Mt.Pleasant would run at 1.70 ratio. Get your self a cheap pair of calipers so you can measure the tire. Then you can use a calculator to figure your gearing.
Example - 2.50 tire size X Pi or 3.14 X 25 your pinion divided by 115 your spur = 1.70.
The smaller the tire gets the larger the pinion will have to be to keep at 1.70. Think you got it or did I do a good job of confusing you? 2.50 X 3.14 X 25 / 115 = 1.70
No Keith and Greg don't use the internet they're better with there cars than with the internet. It is hard to beat them two.
As the speed goes up what was a good car will start to go to pot. They say loose is fast if you can drive it. You want to get that car to turn with as little of dual rate as possible.

Jake You want both. Low dual rate and front wheel steering. The less steering you have to get around the corner the faster you will be.
I raced at Larry's this past Sat. They ran 4 cell stock and Busch.
They are having a big money race on Nov.3.
You can still race without paying the extra money. There will be some pretty hot racers there. Some from out of state.
I will be racing there this Sat.

Jake A good friend of mine has a cottage on a channel off the main river. Leaving from Lost Arrow going toward the main river you would turn right on to the river then turn right at the next channel. The cottage is on Hillis Dr. Been going up there off and on for over twenty years. Later
Hey Jake A woods car is no different in setting up than a L30. The t-bar on the X13 is its weak spot. You can still pick them up at a decent price. The car was designed for flat tracks so hang them batteries out all tha way. Also just about everything from an L30 can be used on the X13 except for some of the graphite. Later Mel

We had a good time at Larry's. There were some tough racers from four states and I ended up fourth in the B-main. Man them guys were fast. Well going to take a week off from racing and get ready for Jackson College. See Ya!

Jake Jackson College is a one day race on Sunday. They have an open practice on Sat.
Doors open at 7:00am on Sunday and the doors open at 5:00pm on Sat. unless you want to help setup the track then you can get in around 2:00pm. Wood Racing may be there this weekend. If you have directions then turn left into College parking lot then left at the first drive then right into a huge parking lot and the field house will be at the end of the lot. Its expressway almost all the way.

Jake We got out of there around 5:30pm on Sun. Practice on Sat. night gets over around 9:30pm. If I don't go down on Sat. I will leave my house around 5:30am on Sun. morning.
There will be a Legend class and the track is bigger than the track at the Soo. So it is fairly big.
Jake The doors will open at 7:00am Sun. morn and racing starts at 9:00am.
Hey Joel Got the 15. There were 14 heats at Jackson College and everyone was on the road by 4:30pm. Attendance is down some but all the classes were able to run.
I ran Busch and six cell stock finishing second in both. They give out hand towels to the first (blue) second (red) and third (white) which I think is a nice touch and different. These aren't towels you would want to use as tire towels.
A few of us are talking about going to Traverse City on the first of Dec. We will be at Mt.Pleasant this Sat.
