Had to purchase a new carburetor bowl gasket for a Sears/Tecuseh engine. Parts house advised only one size gasket has been used for years. It looked right so a bought it. It appears that the gasket is just a bit too big to fit in the groove. I have tried several dabs of Permatex, but that isn't working.
Does anybody have any tricks or techniques to get a gasket, that is probably the correct one, in a groove that appears too small in diameter?
