The Ferrari 250GT California has never been a dream car of mine, but the CMC version has definitely been on my list since I viewed pictures of it. CMC detail borders on obsession, and I respect that. More model makers should use authentic materials like them.
The only thing I find a little distracting is how fake the boot around the shifter looks. But that's at extreme magnification.
If I had the space for 1:18--and could justify dropping $438 on one piece of non-vintage die-cast--I'd definitely add that one to my collection. It's drop-dead gorgeous! I think I might have to throw Ferris Bueller's Day Off into the DVD player to see the replica 250GT California that appeared therein.
