I recently completed an original Cylon Basestar as a birthday
present for a friend.
I painted it gloss black, then heavily dry-brushed it with silver.
It resulted it a "space-weathered" look.
After re-viewing the original "Battlestar Galactica" movie, I did
not see any detail on the Basestar. It seemed to be a uniform
gray, so I did not add any painting details to the model.
My friend loves the model.
What do you think?

Hey are you aware that there is - or maybe was? - a Basestar details correction kit available from Timeslip Creations? I don't see it on the site, but know that George was selling them at least for a little while. I'll try and remember to shoot him an email and ask if he's going to make them available again for those folks who still have the old kits.

I didn't even know the model needed correcting!

It look pretty cool to me, the only one I built I painted gray and my brother blew it up!
