I am Curious.
Who is on the BWF Committe?
What does this Committee do?
Who are all the members of the BWF Club? Is there a BWF Club?
How many of us are trying to get all the BWF vehicles that JL has put out?
According to the committee, how many vehicles has JL put the BWF Motiff on?
Are the Burch Trucks considered JL, now?
I know I am missing the following:
True Grit/2 GMC Van (Hooker Headers) 392-02

Black Bandits ’49 Mercury
Burch Engineering Karmann Ghia
Charity Wheels Karmann Ghia

Cool Collectibles ’69 Camaro

Cruisin' the Coast '33 Ford Sedan Delivery

Hot August Nights ’49 Merc
Jiffy Lube VW Type 2
Kentucky Derby 130 ’65 Mustang Conv.
Lexmark '41 Willys Coupe

American Glory/1 ’73 AMC Hornet 333-21
KISS Trucks/1 ’29 Model A 423-00

Not sure I have these, I still have to go and look.

Dragsters USA ’72 Charger Chi-Town Hustler 320-100
Dragsters USA '71 Vega Motown Shaker N/A

I do not have the GD Bus or the Millineum Bus (Gold FLames)

I do have the Roll Back, The Transport and will be getting the Wrecker in the Mail from Burch Engineering.

What else is out there that is JL?

Richard, the "Committee" has met in a secret session, and has decided we can't answer your questions ...... and we can't tell you why

J/k, of course.

First, the "Committee" exists in the imaginations of mostly three HT members; Nick (CenterShock), Mike (70XR7, and myself. It's all in good fun. Many people have applied for membership to the "Committee", but to my knowledge all we have done so far is steal their money and turn them down  The total number of HT members trying to get in is classified :) and we keep changing what is and is not a BWF just to keep things a mystery. If any of this breaks any laws, it was all Nick's idea, I swear it, and Mike wil back me up on this (won'tcha, Mike :dude: )

In all honesty, it's just a running gag here, though any potential BWF JL is posted here for all to debate its true merits. I thought there was a list posted once, and I'll have to try and find it. There are about 75 Johnny Lightnings (both in the "official" Street Freaks series and other cars outside of that series) that are pretty much accepted by HT folks as BWF cars. In my mind (and thus, in the minds of the "Committee") the Burch trucks - while made by SpecCast - are accepted into the JL BWF community. Just because.

I thought I had a BWF Hooker Van for you last year, but can't find it. I'll keep an eye out for you. I'm fairly certain I know where there is a BWF AG Hornet, I'll pick it up next time I'm out that way.

Hope this helps, but you didn't hear any of this from me, got it? :drunk:

Nice list you kept Mark.
I'm glad to see the Grateful Dead bus is on the list, as we all know it should be...well, except for maybe some 'nut' somewhere. :p

That is why DadsCoronet is NOT on the committe!!!

Kidding of course.

If it weren't for that van I could say one big CHECK to that list Dads posted.

Nick,
The list is not of my collection, just a reference tool. There are 8 that I don't have but an HT member has 2 for me. Since I have the Fest 2003 '59 Caddy, I don't feel the need to try for the PSR version. Not only do I have a hard time accepting the GD bus (double interpretation there, eh?? :p ), I am having a very difficult time accepting the Charity Wheels Karmann Ghia as a true BWF. I have passed a few times on that thing.
In closing, psssst....Nick......there is no "committee", remember? I can't be on the committee if there's no committee, so I'm NOT on the committee. Like you just said...I guess I'm NOT on the committee. (I think I should be committed, though.... :D :D  )

Man!! I'm missing 17 cars on that list. But I still feel I deserve an honorary chair on the commitee. Just because.

Oh, wait. there IS no commitee. Never mind.

"If there are any other JL BWFs, please post! "

There's the new Cool Collectibles '66 GTO, but I don't know if you want it on the list until it's officially released.

I appreciate the information about the committee.

For a while there, I was beginning to think that there was an "Official" committee that was formed.

Repeated mention of any "committee" may spur a visit by the black helicopters and your disappearance. Also, try to avert your eyes while reading this thread. :drunk:

As a novice here, I was stunned by the number of BWF's when Mark emailed me that list. Coming in late to the game can be viewed one of two ways...a hopeless cause, or something to keep me occupied for a looong while. I choose to look at diecast collecting as a fun and stress relieving hobby, so I'll be happy with whatever I manage to get, and be content with the knowlege that I probably will not be able to find them all. The ones that I have (an entire 18 JL's w/ a Burch Engineering wrecker enroute) sure do look nice on my wall. BWF is like a tuxedo for any casting...a tux w/ fiery tales
