That back tire on the kopper kart needs a bit of filling
On the 1:1? It looks fine to me.

Cool thread. Gotta love the Kopper Kart!
Isn't that the one that was wrect in a towing accident back in '58 or so?
There was an article way back when it happened in "Hop Up" or one of those customizing magazines.

That Kopper Kart is a clone of the original. I have seen it in person and they did a really good job.

Dave, the custom pickup you're thinking of was not the Kopper Kart, but the Rod & Custom "Dream Truck."
Fun story, I really enjoyed that linc.
That thing really went through many phases!!!

And thanks for straightening me out on the right truck I was thinking of...at least I guessed the right year the wreck happened! :)

The one in the linc is the origonal truck restored though.
Did someone really do a clone of it?

No, the original one disappeared somewhere in the Midwest years ago and has never been seen since. That's why this guy built the clone. He's in NJ. You can tell the difference because the original had the Barris name on the doors. Rumor has it that Barris originally would not give the builder permission to use his name, so it's not there in that pic. Not sure if he ever got permission to use the name or not.

Here's a good pic of the original:
