I turn the foam inside out so I can 1/4" bevel-cut the edge of the foam where it would be by the bead. For a normal tire.
You can also knock holes in Aka foams for corr or cram oversized uncut foams into the tire for stiffer tires for smooth clay.
Some are cramming rear foams in the front of their 1/10th buggies and truck foams in the rear!
i 1/4 cut mine also seems to make setting the beads easier. i recently bought a t4 used and the guy included some rear tires. the side says, 2.08 x 4? but they are on 2.2 wheels. i can tell he seemed them in the middle. they hook up great.
