I am restoring my Boss Hoss Club Car that I received in 1970 in second grade.

The body is in great shape except the rear of the car has lost most of its black paint around the tailights.

My car appears to have had the entire rear panel painted all black. However, in photos of other cars the black is painted like a big fat "T" shape leaving the area around the taillights silver.

Are both of these versions correct or has my Boss Hoss had some errant paint applied through the years?

Thanks!

I have one, and original, that I am the original owner of..
just looked at it and it seems to have the "T" pattern you speak of

so possibly the one you have someone did apply some paint to ..?

I have two of the Boss Hosses, and they are both different, one has the bearing style wheels(where the wheels could come off; this is the most common version for not only this car, but all of the Spoilers series), and one has the capped style wheels. I'm not sure which one it is(I don't have the cars readily available at this time, but I'm willing to bet it's the capped wheel version), but one of the cars has the whole rear blacked out, and the other has the "T" on it. I think that if your car has capped wheels, then the rear being completely black is indeed correct.
