Hasbro recently held a reception to honor Reuben Klamer, Toy Industry Hall of Fame member, who is best known as the inventor of The Game of Life, which celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2010. To plastic modelers, Klamer is the toy inventor who developed Big Frankie and sold the product to Aurora. (He also developed the Pink Panther car and Hawk's Silly Surfers and Frantics.)
Hasbro presented Klamer with his own personalized G I Joe as a Navy Commander, since Klamer served in the U S Navy during W W II.
Klamer is now pushing 90, but is still active in the toy invention business. Just shows that playing around keeps you young.
