In general, 1940s era cars are few and far between, except Hot Wheels 40 Fords and various 49 Mercurys, both of which are quite plentiful. Other 40s era cars are very hard to find and why I was drawn to this obscure slush mold maker who scaled them for use with (the then new) HO scale, although they are closer to 1/72 and a lot heavier than most run of the mill 1/64s. A brand by the name of Authenticast, using the trade name Comet, they are best known for their WWII military models which were used as training aids in the field.
