The last round of the Swedish Cup was held at the great Vetlanda nitro arena, a high speed 1/8th clay track with carpet sections. In 2wd, practice started with Otto, Oskar, Niclas and David running similar lap times, the day was set for some close racing. Otto TQ’d the first and second round but was outpaced on lap times by the young superstar Ronnefalk. After a change to another type of driveshafts the pace was found and after the qualifier it was a TQ for Otto, with Oskar in second heading TLR/Advanced Electronics in front of the Orion powered RB-6 of David Ronnefalk.



In the first final it was Otto first with David close behind in second after Oskar made a mistake defending his position. In the 2nd final Otto made a mistake in the opening minutes allowing Oskar and David through. With David taking first place the stage was set for a exciting last final. On the first lap David rolled his car going into the double-double and with the marshal focused on the drama down the field David lost a lot of time and Otto could cruise to victory taking the win and also the overall win in the cup.

2wd results
1. Otto Ausfelt – TLR 22/Advanced Electronics
2. David Ronnefalk – Kyosho RB-6/Orion
3. Oskar Levin – TLR 22/Advanced electronics

In 4wd it was just a day of trying to catch Niclas Mansson who was dialed with his AE B44.1. In the first final, Niclas was TQ, Otto 2nd and Oskar 3rd. In the warmup, Otto felt brave with his setup changed and tried to attack the corners before the chicane at full throttle resulting in him having to call a 10 minute delay and was forced to start from the pits. At the tone Niclas checked out and was gone. The battle for second was between Karl-Johan Svensson and Oskar Levin, but battling for positions left them losing out when Otto came storming from the back of the field and got through to take second.

The second final was not quite as easy for Niclas. There were a train of cars trying to capitalize on any mistake, but that was not to be with both Otto and Oskar retiring with the same problem. Karl-Johan made a strong second with Schumacher driver Christer Carlsson taking third.

With Niclas the 4wd winner, the race race was for second. Otto made a first lap mistake which sounded like a fatal crash but the XX-4 beeing as strong as a tank there were no worries but he still lost a lot of time. Oskar was well on the pace until the very last lap going too tight over the curbs he rolled the car which lost made him lose out on the second place and the overall cup win.



4wd results

2. Otto Ausfelt – TLR XX4 WE/Advanced Electronics
3. Karl-Johan Svensson – TRF511/Advanced Electronics

Otto and Niclas was on equal points in the cup but the tie breaker were in Niclas’ favor.
