He did the original longboxes. Some of these paintings were painted over by Aurora for the frightening lightning series, and those were again used for the square boxes. A few of these models (The Wolfman, King Kong) were new paintings for the Frightening Lightning long boxes, but Bama wasn't involved.

Aurora had the long box art repainted into a square format for the square boxes. The orignial artists did not do the work, and some kits had new artwork done.
This did not involve just the monster kits either. John Steele's military paintings were cropped and made taller for the square box kits too.

And the reworked 1969 onward version. Note the image was cropped and the right side of the painting deleted, and a new green background was added. To make it fit the new format better the bottom was also crudely extended. It's difficult to take a long, narrow painting and turn into a square image.
