I've noticed HobbyTalk has been picking up alot of new members and some of them have olds related handles:thumbsup:

I'm just curious as to what olds some of you have.

Post a pic if you can,if your like me picture posting challenged, tell us about your car.

I have a 1972 cutlass S ,flame orange with black interior,it's a 350 car that I transplanted a 455 into.
A while back I took it out for the first cruise of the season and blew up the motor,I have everything I need to build a 400 hp small block to put back in while I build my dream 600 hp 700 ft lbs big block.
The only problem...with the quality of work I wish to do now days, working outside just dosen't cut it.And since we have children now and my Wife has more control over the relationship, putting together a motor in the kitchen is out of the question (besides,my friends and I had a heck of a time getting that motor out to the driveway:lol: ).
So while we house hunt (I like to think of it as garage hunt),my olds sits until I can put a roof over it's roof.

Let's hear your story:)

The first car I bought with my own money was a 1963 Olds Holiday 88 Coupe. A big 4-barrel, drank leaded premium, but it was like riding in your living room. Ahhh, memories.

Mike
Now that is a true highway cruising car!

When you punched that pedal, you felt and heard the passing gear...not just made a bunch of loud sewing machine noise:)

Seriously... I had an 83 olds, with an after market 350 small block, holley Carb, alum intake, and headers. Stall Speed torque converter and Posi Traction rear end.

It would do low 11's on a quarter mile track {documented} with street tires.

The best part, I bought it around 1990 from the federal marshal service for $350...

I loved that car...

I had a '71 Cutlass Supreme 2-door in college... the one with the formal Monte Carlo-type roofline. 350 4bbl, butternut yellow/brown interior and brown vinyl roof. One of those cars that I shoulda never gotten rid of...

also had a '72 Cutlass 350 4-door in pea-soup green... POS, but I liked it anyway.

A good friend from high school had a '71 4-door that we painted primer gray and beat the boogers out of, then a yellow '73 Cutlass Supreme, buckets/console... that one was NICE...
