Not a model model, but figured some may be interested...

New paint, weathering and gridlines on the saucer basically, the screw hole caps on the bottom saucer are now gone.
The lights in the nacelles are now dual color! fades to a green briefly. Nice effect.
Some new sounds, warp effect sound lasts all the way now. Much nicer.
Stand has a bit thicker plug.

Looks interesting. Not really a fan of the top saucer grid pattern and the "rust ring". Why are the topside navigation lights so far inboard....?

I do like that the screw holes have been removed... the shuttlebay landing deck and bay doors are misproportioned, though...

Geez!! I'm nitpicky!!

I've got DST's Production version of the Enterprise.. never had or even saw the Playmates one.

Yeah, it's a toy, or adult collectible, LOL.
I bare that in mind for such things. But they are sure getting better compared to years ago.

I prefer it to the Playmates version, nice though that was--better paint job and light effects. The 1701-D is very nice too and I like the multiple versions of the classic Enterprise.
