Well, I know there´s no accounting for tastes but take a look to the 1:64 new release for Aoshima. (At the bottom of the page)

I think this decoration in trucks is typical in Asia but I never thought that it will be made in 1:64 scale.:freak:

They are called "dekotora", according to what I can find on Wikipedia:

There are many outlandish examples if you search on Google Image. I'm sure it'll be an interesting conversation piece in any 1/64 collection.

Dekotora is an interesting fad in Japan, but I hate to call it a fad since it has been around for a long time. It's origins are interesting. And just as anything in Japan, there is a following for it in the toy & collectibles world. You can buy Dekotora plastic kits and all sorts of other toys. I wasn't aware of anything in 1/64 up until now... maybe if there is a Hino in the line-up I may have to get one! :wave:
