.... ever notice that TYCO pick-up shoes, when bent alittle differently, work in place of AFX shoes on the Blazin' brakes/others?

That's a great tip. The pickup shoes on the Super Magnatraction style chassis are made from very soft material which wears out very quickly. Knowing there is a possible substitution is great as I really doubt anyone carries those particular shoes; nor would I pay for them if they were made of the same material.

Yeah, the two little... really little flat tabs on both sides of the TYCO shoes have to be snapped of, but are easy to to. After that you flatten out the middle and then one bend and.... pics to come. Nice part is those tyco shoes are all over the place!

How much better is it performance wise? I would think with the flat Tyco 440 x2 pick up shoes there is much more contact with the rails and it would fly.
