There's clearly a lot of Star Trek builders here, just wondering if anyone enjoys building Star Wars kits?

I've been digging up my old builds from before I went to college (the first time), and most of them are pretty, well, amateur-ish. The B-Wing that I once thought looked good is going to be replaced once ERTL/RC2 releases their new stuff.

So anyone else?

Also looking at getting a CC X-Wing too...

I'm an SW model fan. I've built a few over the years and plan on rebuilding my old original X-Wing from when I was 16 or 17 (still have the parts). I also have quite a few in storage that I'll be building before too long. Most of them I got at huge discounts the last time they were released.

I have a Falcon that is 80% completed for my son. And a Tie Intercepter I did about 6 years ago. If they ever rereleased the original non cutaway falcon again I would probably get more, even with all the inaccuracies.

"It's a good bet the Empire knows we're here..."

I picked up this Probe Droid kit at a model swap meet a year or so ago. I have no idea who the manufacturer is, but after much sanding, puttying and detailing, it yielded a nice model.

I keep threatening to scratch build an Imperial Crusier. One a these days...

Used to in my teens, but almost none since. Did the vinyl Vader from ERTL and the Fine Molds TIE and X-Wing. Restored a Tydirium a few years ago. Surprised the hell outta me, my X-Wing took second in the spacecraft category at last year's Sci-Fan in Washington alongside far better craft modelers. Must be because the FineMolds is such a nice kit it's hard to go wrong with it.

I hope to get back into building SW kits next year. Have a Fine Molds Jedi Starfighter partly done, but not happy with the paint job - wnat to carefully strip it and repaint.

 Star Wars models, Star Wars models................ where have I seen some other kits at ................ Oh ya, now I remember, there all over in my basement in boxes!

I'm trying to get over to the local model masters (when he has the time for me to see him) and have him start on the new hangers for the SD. I'm going to try to push as much as I can for replacement parts for the SD.
