Will tube glue or other glues for styrene work to adhere pieces made from epoxy putty to styrene? I want the wiggle time for getting the placement just right, and CAs for this particular piece will go on needing a cleanup that will be a hassle if I try to place it first and then glue.

I would not expect them to work. Styrene glues work by melting the styrene with chemicals. Epoxy once hardened is resistant to chemicals, and in any cast I would not expect the same chemicals that melt styrene to work on melting epoxy.

Thanks. Okay, I was afraid that ould be the case. It just means waiting until I can get to the hobby store and see if they have epoxy glue (which I' sure they do. I was hoping to do it tonight with what I already have.

I didn't know there was slow-acting CA! Recommend a specific brand?

I use Zap A Gap CA+, a gap filling CA. Label says it sets in 1-2 minutes. After overnight curing it has the characteristic, nasty, hard to sand, CA texture, so use it sparingly :).
