In viewing your pictures in various threads, I see alot of wide front tires. All the racing I have done (not much; HOPAC and Fray) emphasizes narrow fronts (usually o-rings).

What is the purpose of the wider front tires (I understand why you want wide axles)? Did testing indicate they give better lap times?

Strictly appearance.

You get less rolling resistance with O-ring front ends but we mandate the wider front tires from a "how it looks" standpoint. The Sprint Car Class originally allowed narrower tires but from my understanding they're going to wider fronts too. Martin and AJ write the rules with only a little input from me as it is so I just go along to get along. They did slap me for using old style G+ front tires, the really low profile ones, now they have a minimum profile they will be imposing.

**EDIT: I was just handed a set of the new rules for the spring and summer series, no profile restrictions on front tires but they have to be "full width of the wheel they are mounted on". G+, SG+, Tyco all are allowed.***
