71 Chevelle SS454 wheel swap. Sorry for the sorry pic but the wife won't let me get a better camera. :( Natural light it takes great pics but inside it's garbage. Wheels were darkened a bit but I didn't take as much time as I should of to make the job look good.

Looking good. Very nice addition to the casting.
Almost makes you wish that you could jump right in and light up the rear tires.
I like the T/As on a lot of the castings from this time frame.
Makes them look authentic.

Cheers. Cobra

Cars always look better with chrome wheels , instead of silver ...
Thanks all for the Kudos.

Actually I have a 1:1 car the same color as the Chevelle but it's a newer El Camino ('84 GMC Diablo). I monotoned a good bit of it but left a fair amount of chrome. It has chrome centers but silver (argent) rally wheels. Sometimes a plain cop car look is cool.

In this Chevelle's case, chrome is the way to go.

The wheels just pop off. Just pull em off and put the new ones on. Takes about 10 seconds out of the package.

How do you take the body off to change the wheels. then how do you put them back together to keep them from falling apart
