I had passed this one up several times because it had some light gray un-detailed wheels. I found this "variation" today and had to get it.

The wheel/tire combo can make or break a casting. This one looks "Cool"!

So verry true. I have done wheel swaps on several castings that resulted in a much better looking car in the diplay case.

That is very interesting. When this car came out, I picked up the other wheel/tire combo version and passed on the black mag version. As time went on and people were posting pics I gave it a second look and ended up bringing one home. From the same series, I picked up both versions of the Torino Talladega. Those are my favorite versions of that casting.

The rim variations definitely make a difference. I'm glad RC2 gave us an option in rims and RR v. plastic on some of the models last year. This Judge was a real winner with the RR option.

I'm still kicking myself for not buying that same variation!

I saw plenty of the other, and they weren't cool at all.
