I love this shade of Krylon Rattlecan Blue and gave it nice black seats w/ silver centers to accent it. Dual exhaust pipes out the back so the big 421 can breathe, along with soft tires on 8 spoke chrome rims to hold it on the road. I hope you like it:

The tampos on both variations read "427". The tampo on yours was probably messed up to make the 7 appear as a 1. The Fairlane never came with a 421. That's a Pontiac engine size, as in 421 Super Duty.

The wheels are off a Maisto Buick Riviera. Kmart in the next town over was having a close out sale on all their misc cars, I just picked one up and haven't had a chance to get back yet. The wheels on the Fairlane aren't spaced very far apart and these fit without having to cut an axle, which goes a long way in determining which ones I use.

I like that color blue too, I'm trying to get away from using so much black. :p.
