60's Camaro guys... wheels on a 68...

Hi, had to take a "sick" day from work today, and while maxin and relaxin (heehee) was goofin around with some JL's... and haven't been bangin these boards like I used to...so thought I'd run this by u....

I've swapped wheels around on so many Camaros Ican't remember where these wheels came from, but I high-lighted these chrome ones with a little black paint to fill in the slots... but do they look too 'stock-ish' for a nice 68 ralley striped ride like this one?

I like it...now if I could hold my hand still enough and get my eyes to focus, I could try that too...

I've been having trouble getting my eyes to focus while detailing my slots. I told my eye doctor at my exam 2 wks ago and he suggested I try wearing reading glasses from a drug store while doing that kind of work. Now at least I can get my eyes to focus. I still have to get better with my hand, but at least I can see where I am trying to paint.

Pablodragon,

The rims look great!

Thanks for the info...already went the drug store reading glasses route, now I'm sporting bi-focals to do my close up work...man, it stinks getting old!
actually, u old guys.. (which includes me!)

when I said I "filled-in" the black on the rims, that's all I did..

just got a paint brush and slathered the black paint all over the rim, then wiped it off with a paper towel.. it just left the black paint in the crevices/slots!
Love the Ralley wheels. Always brings out the details when you add a wash to the chrome. rr

Good idea.

Does that mean that after a while I probably won't be able to focus even with the reading glasses. He did say I will probably need bifocals within the next 6 months to a year but he thinks my eyes will change significantly within that time so he did'nt think I shoul get bifocals yet.
Rims look GREAT!

I know exactly what you guys mean, and have to laugh because I'm there right with ya on the seeing issue! LOL

For me the only choice is grow longer arms or start wearing glasses. Now if I could only figure out how to deal with that alzhimer, cold turkey shakin thing I get when I try and do the detail work! :p
think I'll have to do the rims the same way on John Fesler's 67...the black one from the CG series... I think they are using the same rims...
Nice wheels, Brings back memories of that muscle car era!
