This was NOT modified. This car was bought as you see it! I would like to get a set of those wheels and modify some other cars that I already own.

After some further investigation I've found that the rear lights are wrong on the diecast. I'm finding it very hard to paint a $100 plus diecast though.

Cars made later on starting mid-year in 1952 until production ceaced in '54, had the fins with the taillights built in like your model above.

So if that's correct (which I believe it is) the diecast in NOT a 1951 !
