Since Hot Wheels re-issued this casting in the Target Team Hot Wheels Drivers picks line i though I'd show off the common variations of this car.

first the first color silver(not counting the red leather looking one)

narrow and wide rear wheels

second color purple

FTE2 wheels, OH5 chrome larger Camaro tampo(multi packs), OH5 chrome (Team Hot Wheels driver picks)

yes i did find a multi pack camaro in a blister i only have seen 1 other one like this.
closer look at the 2 tampos the team hot wheels one has the smaller tampos

and the the mystery pack red one

The rear wheel difference appears to be an error since the chassis is unchanged and you can see that the car was assembled with a wider axle since it is sticking out so far.
i thought that too but i found an equal amount of the narrow and wide wheels on the silver one and others reported finding a mix of both in shippers and on the pegs making it more of a variation then an error

Oh, I thought that an "error" was an assembly flaw or a car built 'out of spec' while a "variation" was change in production(paint color, wheel style, tampo addition/deletion/change, ect.)?

BTW, I'm really not trying to be a smart arse....I simply require further clarification of these collector's definitions.

On that purple one with the wider tires it may be an error, may not.. or they ran out of the normal rear tires .To me those are just chrome versions of the faster than ever wheels, nothing special..maybe.The Team Hotwheels purple convertible has the wide rear tires too.

It's the silver version that has the wide and narrow wheels all of the purple ones I have seen have the correct wide wheels.

On the subject of error vs variations is and error is some thing that might be seen on 1 or 2 examples like missing parts/tampos or miss miss matched parts. A variation is some thing seen in a larger amount. Like the narrow wheels on the silver one since alot were found or the white ford taladega that had a wrong facing base.

I meant the silver as the error, mistakenly put purple.
