Hit up a Walmart in the middle of the hood last night after the Braves game and they were fully stocked (minus hunts of course). Here is what I found

Maybe he is not from Atlanta and just travelled down to see a ball game or two...........
Or doesn't know the specific name of the area or doesn't know the proper terminology.
Maybe, it is better to forget the whole expression and move on.

I like to eat HOOD ice cream while watching "Robin HOOD". On occasion when I go to the store to buy the ice cream and rent the movie, my car gives me trouble, so I have to check under the HOOD, and if it's raining, I have to put up the HOOD of my jacket.
