At the end of last mowing season oil/gas was leaking from the fuel pump and the engine was smoking a lot. I asked around and finally ended up replacing the fuel pump, changed the oil and spark plug. I think I mowed with it one more time and it seemed fine. Late winter, I used the mower to chop up a bunch of leaves in the yard and it seemed to work fine again, but did notice a little smoke coming from the muffler when I would engage the blades.

Monday, I replaced the oil, filter, new plug, new blades and figured I'd be ready to go. However, when I started mowing a small patch of grass the engine bogged down and heavy, heavy smoke started coming from the muffler and oil/gas mixture started coming out of the fuel pump again. I turned the mower off, let it sit for a minute, started it back up and drove it to the garage without the blades on. It smoked a little, but seemed to run ok.

Any ideas what is going???

I'm not real sure how to check the pump to see if it's still good. do you think the valves are too tight? Just seems strange why it's pumping oil out the fuel pump. Some one said to check the crankcase breather, but I can't find one, the only breather is the air filter.
