HELP! I am lighting my first 1701-D and 1701-C and need help with lighting the windows. I plan on using resin to fill the holes but I have no clue as to the best method of drilling them out. I have never attempted to do so and I would like to know if there are any special tools needed or what is the best way to cut them out while not sacrificing their shape. Many thanks in advance.

The easiest way is to use a dremel tool with a very small drill bit. Get a bit the size of the width of the window. Drill a hole at the top and bottom of the window, then using a new xacto blade cut the center out. You can then square it up with the blade. To make it easier to cut and square you can also thin the plastic from behind with a drum sander bit on your dremel. This will make it easier to square as well as giving a more scale window edge.
