Hello everyone. Got a weird one here. I built a gas powered dump trailer
years ago using a 11 horse briggs lawn tractor motor. Recently it began acting upwith the keyswwitch. I had to jump the solenoid several times to have it start. So I bought a new solenoid and installed but it still won't do anything. I have 12 1/2 volts to one side of solenoid and the single wire that
goes to the side of it has 12 volts when I turn the keyswitch. Once I attached the small wire to solenoid I get zippo??? Everything I test seems
in order and I made sure the solenoid was well grounded before I bolted it down. Any troubleshooting ideas out there?

Test the ground from the solenoid to the (-) side of your battery and see if its good. Solenoid is not engaging if its got a good ground and getting power it should work. How many terminals are on the side of this solenoid?
