Neat old stuff.
Do you think GL is on their way out?The demise of GL in many ways reminds me of how 1BadRide fizzled out.
if they do'nt do somthing about TRU gougeing the customers with their product they will be in trouble.no one but TRU carries most of their stuff but they are way over priced on most of their series at 5.99.Do you think GL is on their way out?
I can see a few Diecast Corps in the near future having problems staying in business. If they do not start putting items on the pegs or shelves at a reasonable pace the collectors will wonder off and buy from another Corp who can. Collectors are finicky as they want to see new stuff all the time and not a new car here or there while out shopping. Mattel seems to know how to make a billion $$$ a year in gross profits as they can pump out 5-10 repaints of each car, but of course we are speaking about a $1 Car too which is a no brainer for Mattel knowing 3/4 of the collectors are HW collectors. Tough business to be in I'm sure as many factors come into play to be on top or still in the game.Do you think GL is on their way out?
I hope not. After 1BR came out with that first release they promised of more good to come. So we waited and waited. It was like waiting for Duke Nukem to come out. Finally got the blown series with the same castings. That's what I remember of them. After a few good years for GL we got repainted police cars, redone High Speed castings, and other in my opinion drab diecast. The GL forum used to be cranking now unless people are complaining about GL it is as drab as the carsDo you think GL is on their way out?
turdet and Kcrap ai'nt much better.the 3 targets near me have had nothing new with the exception of some MB mainlines in 2 months.the 2 kmarts nothing nadda zip since the last kday.TRU forget anything due to them hold just for the local scumm to resell.Due to the way that Wal Mart is doing things I have stopped shopping there and buying more on line and at Target, Kmart, TRU, etc. I know in Wal Marts case they only stock the shelves when they want to so I don't really see it as being a issue with the manufacturers but mainly the stores.
