Question Could this mean, we might find JL's at Sears???

For those of you that haven't heard yet, a deal has been struck that is going to merge Sears/Kmart. Makes me wonder if we just might start finding Johnny Lightnings at Sears next year, when the merger is complete......

Here's a link to the story, which is also being report on CNN....

I'm skeptical as well. Two companies who lost focus join together and this is for the better? HMmmmmmm.

Talking The Sears/KMart Catalog...

I would love to see Sears go back to having a catalog. Seriously, I believe this would save them.
Go back to having an A-Z selection of everyday quality household, clothing, tools items etc (much like KMart does).
And a Christmas catalog as well.
I used to look forward to the catalog as a kid the fighting with my sibblings over who gets to look at it first; by the end of Christmas the pages with their exclusive Sear's only redline Hot Wheels, Topper Johnny Lightnings, Playarts, Dinky and Corgi Jr gifts sets would be in unreadable torn tatters because of the amount of time I spent scouring the pictures hoping my folks would read (and follow precisely to the exact item number and page) my wish list (of course they never did... )

Imagine seeing Johnny Lightnings in a Sears catalog again...

Ahhhhhh yes those were the good ol days. The Sears Christmas catalog was my Bible. Every list I made had the page number and item listed by it. Then I would circle each item just to make sure there was no mistake. My brother would use one color pen and I would use another as the final safety measure.
That catalogue guaranteed me that I would get most of my "must have" presents. Then as I got a little older I would stray into the ladies section (what a perv).
