A question for those that bought the JL motorhomes

I am wanting to pick up a couple of the JL motorhomes and went to order from the Monaco website, but they don't have them pictured individually. Anybody able to post a pic of what is what? I'm talking about the 2004 models. Wondering, are these just repaints of the earlier models, or an all-new casting? I see they have the older models clearenced at 25% off, so I might just get those instead. Thanks!

For the price, they are very detailed, and cool. You won't be dissapointed. The WL's are all gone. Not aware of the repaint question. I ordered a few of the WL's , and the detail was great. I don't have the ability right now to post you any pics. sorry. Go ahead and order what you can.

I have the pictures that pms485 sent me, but haven't had time to get them posted on my website. He has sent over 1600 pictures, and I've only had time to post about 400 or so right now. All my work is at home, too.

I believe they are all the same casting and they just have the different paint jobs for each line that they represent. All in all they are really cool, I have them all

I think those have been released again by the old Ertl group. Not sure if it is the same scale but it looks like they have working bump outs!

The JL Motorhome casting is a replica (about 1:125 scale, I believe) of the 2002 Monaco Executive. Monaco Coach commissioned this casting, and had us (in 2002, and again last spring) produce them in paint schemes (and colors) representative of the various brands of motor homes that Monaco Coach produces. And, yes, they are a cool casting!

The ones I saw I thought were done by Trademark. The Fred Ertl spin-off.

Mark,

You are correct, the ones with the slide outs are done by Fred Ertl, somewhere out there they exist, but I sure can't find them.

All I can find is the picture, but no info

I missed out on the White Lightning version, but I'll find one someday. These look great.

Smile DCP (Diecast Promotions) Motor Coaches

If anyone is interested: The Fred Ertl motor coaches shown in Robmcin's post are made by DCP and are 1/64 scale. They will be coming out in a few weeks and should be available on the Monaco website (you can contact them directly and get on an email notification list). But they are available now for preorder at Midwestreplicas.com under 1/64 scale - coming soon. (FYI - I have no affiliation, but have ordered other trucks from them in the past.) You can get one for $55.00 or all four for $200.00. I don't know if they'll be any less expensive from Monaco directly. Keith at Midwest appears to have had a long-standing relationship with DCP (I think he also owns a trucking company and has had DCP produce some of his rigs in 1/64th), so his prices may be reasonable (comparatively). He generally raises the prices once they're in stock, so you might take that into consideration.
