whats some advice on setting up a stock slash 4x4 for a parking lot oval

Don't leave it stock. Get the STRC GT conversion.

I think CHUCKWORKS is doing a chassis for the SLASH for Oval Racing

I don't see it on their web site, but you should check with them...
