I would like to welcome all who enjoy rc racing and fun to the 2012 NMRCC season thread. This will be our third season at our new facility, located 4 miles west of M-32 on Old Alba Rd, just West of Gaylord, MI. Even though this is ou rthird season at this location, we had formerly been located at the Otsego Co. Fairground for some 20 or so year prior. We have snacks and pop and water availeable on premise. The track has approximatly 840ft race-line, with a 10ft drivers stand 20ft long. We have scoring pro computer lap timer and we offer house transponders on site to rent(novice no charge), or you can use your own personal transponders, with a complete race pit ramp, that you drive on and off the race track. We are racers, but formost we are friends and we strive to keep the atmospher family friendly. Normal classes consist of 8th scale, Truggy and Buggy. 10th scale stadium truck,stock SC, mod SC and have had some interest in 2wd buggy. A good size begginners race also.
Thank you, for your interest in NMRCC (Northern Michigan Radio Control Club)
Tipp, you might want to post something about the july7th MSCS race, as this race will not be a normal race day with all normal classes running. Or will it?

it will be just the series race, week after that will be normal race day.
just noticed you have the mscs race as a night race..we are planning it to be a day race as all the others but if it goes into the night thats ok cuz you have lights..if we have a big turnout like race one theres no way we could get away with having a night race..we would have to be there until 9 am the next morning..no one wants to do that...
ALSO THERE HAS BEEN A DATE CHANGE FOR THE FINAL RACE,.. we changed it from sept 8th to sept 15th..we did this because there were 2 other major events going on in michigan on sept 8th..even though we scheduled first we decided to change it out of respect for the older series races goin on that day..please make a note on your calanders

hey tony, i picked up a M2C clutch, how much weight do you run on yours?
Just an FYI, night race only means that we will be running the Mains under the lights. Start time is 1pm instead of 11am and we will usually run 3 heats and a main for night races, regardless of how many entries there are.
A little early to get into too much info about changes for this years racing, but the focus will be on trimming the time schedule a bit buy running the races more effeciently and beter marshalling.
SIZE="6"]BETTER MARSHALLING!!!!!![/SIZE]
Sorry for yelling, just wanted to make sure everyone heard that one.....LOL!
Tipp not sure I heard you right was that better driving?
No just joking. I agree better marshaling.
Moving the race along will be good also.
I think we set the timer and when it goes off its race time ready or not, no exceptions.
Also one step further with marshaling, if you don't marshal you don't race! No exceptions, no docked laps, just your done racing that day, no refunds.
