If you want more PPL you might want to switch them up to 17.5s and get the offroad ppl to run some oval
But I will talk to them this weekend and Maybe get them to switch to 13.5 for Oval as it would be a lot more fun that 17.5 on the oval

I don't have the 17.5 motors to be able to do that, and I don't want to buy 4 motors for just the one event. If I had Ballistic motors, I'd consider buying some 17.5 stators - but I only have SS motors in the buggies. I agree with you on that last point - 13.5 would be a lot more fun for your offroad ppl on your larger oval.

I have a ? I know some have complained about the Spring Fling Plaques and would rather have trophies SO I am asking Now for some ideas

I will put up a poll once we have it narrowed down to a few different things if there is still a debate that warrants a poll that is

OK Here are the ideas Please feel free to add some of your own

Stay with what we are doing

Actual Trophies for A-Main ONLY the normal Spring Fling Metal Plaques for the rest
The Trophies will be some decent size and will go to 5th place Maybe all of A Main

Next would be Nice wooden Plaques for A-Main ONLY the normal Spring Fling Metal Plaques for the rest Same thing to 5th place or Maybe all of A-main

I know what every we decide we will do it for ALL 8-10 spots in the A-Main for Stock Short Course and Mod Short Course as we are getting 25+ Stock SC and 15+ Mods right now for them on a club level
We will also do it for Any other Class that has enough entries for 3 heats

OK Those are just Ideas to toss around or Toss out

Lets here some more and Comments

Trophies? Ugh, I have enough 4-H trophies from the girls in the garage taking up valuable space for all my RC stuff. The plaques are cool enough, though personally I think those are unnecessary.

Bragging rights are all that count in my book - though someone is sure to chime in and say TQ is the only thing that counts.

Now, give us the chance for some cool pics with trophies like at the Birds, and I think some of us might step up our driving skills to a new level, or slightly lower than eye level... Hey look, a spoon...
